Here are two letters published in the Canberra Times with different thoughts on harm reduction. One is by Bill Bush, President FFDLR (Oct 14) and the other by a community member (Oct 12) who argues that pill testing only may save a life whereas getting youth drug free certainly will. This view point does not take into account the fact that illicit drugs are readily available in the community. Any drug policy must be based on the this reality so as to reduce the harm that policy causes. Our kids should not be made criminals in the name of preventing drug supply.
